Portuguese journalists discover Dubai as a cultural and artistic hub

Dubai hosted a special Media Fam that brought together four journalists from Portuguese media outlets to explore the city's potential as a vibrant cultural hub. Accompanied by Raquel Neto, this initiative provided an immersion into the various cultural and artistic facets of the destination, from the contemporary nature of its art galleries to the Bedouin traditions that shape its identity.

The itinerary included visits to the iconic Jameel Arts Centre and the dynamic Alserkal Avenue, known for its galleries, cafés and alternative restaurants. One of the highlights was a visit to the Mohammed bin Rashid Library, a recent gem that combines visionary design with a vast literary collection.

The journalists also had the opportunity to participate in a perfume workshop with the company Meet the Locals, immersing themselves in the richness of Arabic perfumery, and to explore the souks of the Deira area through a street food tour by Frying Pan Adventures, where they discovered Dubai's true gastronomic "melting pot". The experience culminated in a magical sunrise in the desert with Platinum Heritage, where they were welcomed with a traditional Bedouin breakfast and an introduction to the ancient culture that still inspires life in Dubai today.

This Media Fam not only highlighted Dubai’s vibrant artistic and cultural scene, but also promises to be a source of inspiration for unique and engaging content.
